| Here you should see your VOLstate Internet connection and it's current status. | ![]() |
| Right Click the VOLstate Internet connection and choose Properties | ![]() |
The General tab contains the Modem and Phone number properties for this connection With XP you can also set up alternate phone numbers should your ISP provide you with them. | ![]() |
the Options tab contains the options for prompts you will see when you click the connection. by default the Display progress while connection, Prompt for name and password, certificate, etc. and Prompt for phone number are all checked. Here you can also set the redial attempts and time between them. | ![]() |
the Security tab has settings for allowing the user to Encrypt thier password(should they need to)
by default the Typical option is checked to allow unsecured password. Most dial-up accounts do not need or require secured passwords. | ![]() |
The Networking tab shows the protocols and clients used for this connection
There are no changes to be made on this screen with the exception of changing the, Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), DNS settings to the specified address's for VOLstate Primary DNS: 66.129.16.200 Secondary DNS: 66.129.16.201 | ![]() |
The Advanced tab has the option for turning on Microsoft's built in Firewall software.
