Click on Start Click on Settings Click on Network and Dial-up Connections |

Here you will see all Network and Dial-up Connections that have been setup on this machine, The number of connections may vary but you should see a VOLstate connection as a VOLstate Customer
(If you do not see a VOLstate connection Click Here) |

| Right Click the VOLstate icon and choose Properties |

The Dial-up Connection Properties window opens to the General Tab. Here you will see the Modem your connection will use, the Area Code and Phone Number you are dialing and the Country from which you are dialing Some Phone numbers require you to dial the area code as well as the number, check with your phone company for this information |

| The Options tab allows you to see a dialog box while the connection is being dialed, a prompt for you to click Connect or change username and password, and a place to set redial options should you need them. |

By default on the Security tab the dial-up connection is set to allow unsecured passwords, only showing "*" for the total number of characters in the password eg. password is: gogo, it would show **** In Windows NT/2000 systems secured passwords will show a total of 15 "*" for a password regardless of it's true length) Most users will not need to set Advanced Settings on this tab. |

On the Networking Tab you will see the type of connection, protocols, and client software used for the dial-up connection By default the TCP/IP information is obtained when the connection dials the server, should you need to enter them manually click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and choose Properties The IP address of the computer is Always Server Assigned Primary DNS: 66.129.16.200 Secondary DNS 66.129.16.201 |

| Most users will not be Sharing a dial-up connection as they are only capable of a maximum 56K connection(if shared the connection drops to half - 27.5K - for each computer using the connection. |
