Click the Start button and Right Click on the Internet Explorer icon and choose Internet Properties | ![]() |
| Click on the Connections Tab and click Setup and the New Connection Wizard window will open | ![]() |

| Make sure the dot is before Connect to the Internet then click Next | ![]() |
| Click the dot in front of Set up my connection manually and click Next | ![]() |
| Make sure the dot in front of Connect using a dial-up modem is selected and click Next | ![]() |
| Type in VOLstate for the ISP name and click Next | ![]() |
| Type in the VOLstate number that is a local call for You. You can select a number from the VOLstate Dial-up Access Number List. Click Next | ![]() |
Type in your user name: Remove the Check beside Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection Click Next | ![]() |
| Put a check beside Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop Click the box for Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, then Click Finish | ![]() |
| Click Start and Click on the E-Mail (Outlook Express) Icon | ![]() |
When Outlook Express starts you should see the screen to the right. If you do not see this screen or Outlook Express already has an email account set up....Click on Tools, then click on Accounts, when the window opens click Add and choose Mail... Type your Name(the way you want people to see emails that come from you) and Click Next | ![]() |
| Type your VOLstate Email address and click Next | ![]() |
Leave the First Box as POP3 Type: mail.volstate.net for both the Incoming mail (POP3) server and Outgoing mail (SMTP) servermail servers click Next | ![]() |
Type in your VOLstate username(the same as your email address without @volstate.net) Type in your Password click Next | ![]() |
